Supervisors Approve Sale Of Properties

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA– The Tuolumne County Supervisors today unanimously approved the sale of three properties no longer being used for County governmental purposes.

Deputy County Administrator Daniel Richardson says the sale is part of the funding plan for the County Law & Justice Center. If the property is sold for the appraised value, it would give Tuolumne County $1.92 million.

The three properties include the Mother Lode Medical Center, 16 acres of undeveloped land behind the Sonora Library and 2.2 acres of undeveloped land called the Sullivan Creek property just east of Mother Lode Motors.

“I have spoken to our tenants which happen to be Sonora Regional Medical Center, and they have expressed some interest,” said Tuolumne County Administrator Craig Pedro. “I’ve spoken with representatives from Sonora Elementary School about the property behind the library and they may be interested. There has also been contact with folks from assisted living facilities.”
