California’s Drought Is Over

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA– Following significant increases in statewide rainfall and mountain snowpack this season, Governor Jerry Brown today proclaimed an end to the state’s drought.

Today’s announcement follows the fourth snow pack survey of the season. This week the Department of Water Resources found that water content in California’s mountain snowpack is 165 percent of the April 1st full season average.

Although Governor Brown has officially ended the state’s three year drought status, he urged Californians to keep conserving water as we move into the spring and summer months.
