Busy Time For Ski Resorts

Bear Valley, CA– The season continues to be strong for Mother Lode ski resorts.

According to Dodge Ridge Spokesperson Amber Jenquin, “Snow conditions have been absolutely awesome. We’re at 430 inches for the year which is just 26 inches behind last year’s annual snowfall to date.”

Jenquin also says they’ve had great crowds this year and hope to surpass last year’s overall attendance. Things are looking good at Bear Valley as well according to Bear Valley spokesperson, Jason Smith.

“We’ve got great coverage with a season total of 353 inches,” said Smith. “The whole mountain is open and the skiing is pretty spectacular top to bottom.”

Bear Valley will be busy next week as the second annual California Senior Winter Games will be held March 11th-13th.  It’s an open competition for males and females over the age of 50. There will be alpine, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing and other competitions.
