Winter Storm Watch For Sierra Nevada
Old Man Winter is ready for 24 hours of more activity beginning late tomorrow night.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Sierra Nevada from late Tuesday night through late Wednesday night.
Half a foot to a foot of snow will likely fall above 5000 feet. One to two feet of new snow is possible above 6000 through 7000 feet.
Periods of rain and wind are expected in the Motherlode with gusts reaching in excess of forty mph. Winds of fifteen to forty mph are possible in the Sierra Nevada with gusts along the crest ranging from fifty to ninety mph.
