Hospital Food Drive A Success
San Andreas, CA– The 3rd Annual Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital Food Drive was a huge success.
That’s according to Jeannie Hayward, Program Director for the Resource Connection Food Bank in San Andreas.
“The Employee Satisfaction Team at the hospital came together and contributed approximately 1,400 pounds of food and personal household supplies to be distributed to those in need by the Food Bank and community pantries,” said Hayward. “They increased their giving by about 35% over last year. They truly gave from their hearts as their internal campaign focused on giving the week of Valentine’s Day and beyond.”
Hayward adds that the demand for food and services continues to increase and community partners like Mark St. Joseph’s Hospital employees, patients, friends and neighbors are coming to the rescue.
Receptacles were placed throughout the hospital and their five Family Medical Centers in Arnold, San Andreas, Angels Camp, Valley Springs and Copperopolis.
The Resource Connection is a community-based non-profit organization established in 1980 to meet the needs of children and families and promotes programs in nutrition, prevention/intervention and children and families in Amador and Calaveras Counties.
