Denham Speaks On NCC Delays

Sponsored by:

Washington, DC.– Congressman Jeff Denham says he has concerns about the costs and delays in the building of the Social Security Administration’s National Computer Center (NCC).

During a joint hearing Friday with Ways and Means Chairman Representative Sam Johnson, Denham highlighted the importance of the NCC and his concerns for senior citizens.

Addressing his concerns about the aging and outdated current data center, Denham stated, “We must ensure this project is completed on time and within budget. We cannot afford any further slip in the timeline and we cannot afford any added costs.”

Denham, Chair of the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management, also questioned the excess, unused land as a result of the delay of this project.

Congressman Jeff Denham represents the 19th District of California in the U.S. House of Representatives. His district covers Tuolumne county.
