GED Program For Inmates
Sponsored by:
Sonora, CA– The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office has instituted a new program to help inmates in society after they are released from custody.
The new study program helps participating inmates earn the equivalent of a High School Diploma by preparing them for the General Education Degree (GED) examination. Upon completion of the program, they will then be given a referral to Columbia College where they can continue studies or take the examination.
The Sheriff’s Office says this service is free to inmates but they must show a strong commitment to complete the program.
