The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Nevada through 4 PM this afternoon.
A Winter Storm Watch will then go into effect for the Sierra Nevada from late tonight through late Sunday night ending in a Winter Weather Advisory through Monday 4 AM.
Snow levels will remain between 2000 through 3500 feet through Sunday morning.
Four to eight inches of snow accumulation is expected today above 3500 feet.
Late tonight through Monday morning, an additional four to eight inches of snow is likely above 3500 feet. Half a foot to a foot of snow is expected at 4000 feet. One to three feet of snow is possible above 7000 feet.
Winds of fifteen to twenty-five mph are expected with gusts reaching up to thirty-five mph.
