Sonora, CA — It’s called “A Taste For Mentoring” and it’s set for Tuesday at the Sonora Elks Lodge in Sonora from 5PM to 7PM.
Spokesperson Elena Linehan was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
The purpose of the fundraiser is to benefit the Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency´s Mentoring Works program. That program enlists adults to make a one-year commitment to mentor at-risk youths two to four hours a week.
Linehan says the soup tasting will be courtesy of several Tuolumne County restaurants. In addition to the great soup, there will also be an Art Show and an auction.
