Solar Project On Agenda

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The plan to install several solar panels along O’Byrnes Ferry Road goes before the Tuolumne County Supervisors next week.

The Ecoplexus Inc. proposal calls for 5,976 photovoltaic solar panels. They would be spread over 14 acres of property owned by T-5 ranches. The energy would be distributed to the PG&E utility grid. The project received the unanimous recommendation of the Tuolumne County Planning Commission last month.

The Supervisors will also hold a public hearing to amend the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance in Tuolumne County. The proposal is to move the program, which mandates that affordable housing be included in large home developments, to a voluntary incentive based program.

Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9am in the Supervisors meeting room. It will be streamed live in the multi-media section of myMotherLode.com.
