Update: Vegetation Fire In Tuolumne County

Update at 2 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff reports that fire crews have contained the fire in the Groveland area at a half acre and ground crews will remain for the next hour mopping up the escaped debris burn. Further details on the fire are below.

Update at 1:30 p.m.: CAL Fire reports crews have stopped the forward rate of spread.

Update at 1:05 p.m.: Firefighters are making progress on a vegetation fire in the Groveland area.

Cal Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff tells Clarke Broadcasting that all incoming fire crews have been cancelled and that the fire is a half acre and moving at a slow rate of spread. No structures are threatened. She adds that three engines are on the scene in the 20900 block of Morgan Drive near White Gulch Road, south of Pine Mountain Lake. further details on the blaze are below.

Original post at 12:40 p.m.: Groveland, CA — Air and ground resources are on the scene of a vegetation fire in the Groveland area.

CAL Fire relays the blaze is in the 20900 block of Morgan Drive near White Gulch Road, south of Pine Mountain Lake. When fire crews arrived on the scene they found two burn piles and flames had spread from one of the piles to some nearby vegetation, according to spokesperson Lindy Shoff. She adds that no structures are threatened and the air tankers are on hold at Columbia air base while ground crews continue to battle the blaze.
