Angels Camp, CA — The Angels Camp Police Department is seeking information about a reported sexual assault.

It allegedly happened on Monday afternoon at the Worldmark Resort time shares. A 16-year-old girl reported that she was touched inappropriately several times by an unknown man. He was in the swim area with two young children that he identified to the victim as his niece and nephew. The man also allegedly inappropriately exposed himself to the teen.
The victim reported the incident to her foster mother, who notified resort staff, who then notified police. By the time officers arrived, the man had already left the swimming area. The Police Department did a door-to-door search of seven buildings, but the attempt to locate the man was unsuccessful.

The Angels PD says the suspect is reportedly 40-50 years old, average height and weight, medium to dark complexion, with balding grey and black hair. He was wearing a multi-colored soccer jersey with a number 20 on the back. He was also wearing burgundy colored swim trunks with a black stripe on the leg. Anyone with information about the case should call the Angels Camp Police Department at 209-736-2567.
