Senior Expo Today
What is all of the activity taking place at the Motherlode Fairgrounds today?
It’s the third annual Senior Expo, in the John Muir Building from 9am through 2pm.
Sandi Romena, Events Specialist, was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Fifty-four booths are furnishing information to seniors, caregivers and babyboomers on local care-giving options, insurance, medical screenings, veteran services and much more.
The Expo is hosted by the Tuolumne County Commission on Aging and Sierra Senior Providers (Meals on Wheels).
There will be free eye exams and hearing checks courtesy of the Lions Eyemobile.
The Kiwanas Club is serving food.
Romena, who has helped coordinate past “Motherlode Idol” competitions, is inviting everyone to come watch the third “Senior Idol” contest beginning at 11:30 AM.
Admission into the Expo is free.
