Fire officials say the grass and brush fire off Highway 26 is now 37 acres.
CAL Fire spokesperson Lisa Williams adds that it is 50% contained. It is located near the Paloma Road intersection. Today there will be five engines, four hand crews and two water tenders working to fully extinguish the blaze. No homes are considered in danger, and the cause is still under investigation. It has a very slow rate of spread.
