Update: Vegetation Fire Reported Near La Grange
Update at 5:30pm: CAL Fire officials say units will be on scene for the next few hours mopping up after a vegetation fire that ignited west of Lake Don Pedro.
The fire’s forward rate of spread was stopped shortly before 5 p.m. and the size wound up at about a half-acre. The incident’s location, first reported as on Cadena Way near Enramada Drive, turned out to be in the 6000 block of the latter road. No structures were threatened. The cause is still under investigation.
Update at 4:35pm: Arriving units are battling a fire that broke out in brush off Cadena Way east of Lake Don Pedro.
At 4:30 CAL Fire says arriving units reported the Cadena incident at an estimated quarter-acre with a moderate rate of spread within heavy fuels that include brush and a timber understory. No word on whether any structures are threatened.
Original Post at 4:28pm: Sonora, CA — Multiple units are headed to vegetation fire off Cadena Way near Enramada Drive in La Grange, east of Don Pedro Reservoir.
The call outs began around 4 p.m. No other details are yet available as units are still en route. We will provide more information when it comes into the news center.
