Tuolumne County, CA — Some area schools are on the state’s financial danger list.
The state says 2.6 million California children now attend schools in districts that are in financial Jeopardy.
Sonora Union High School and Curtis Creek Elementary are just two of the 176 local educational agencies or LEA’s on the Qualified Certification list. That means they may not meet their financial obligations for the current or next two years.
12 schools made the Negative certification which means they don’t have the funds they need currently or for the next two years. That list includes La Grange Elementary in Stanislaus County.
