This weekend the Jumping Frog Jubilee and Calaveras County Fair is the main event but there are several other events listed in the event calander as well.
Highlights on Saturday include the 27th Annual Coyote Howl, Car Show & Dinner Dance. Said to be a “nationally famous competition” the Howling Contest is all about contestants making a prize-winning coyote call. The event, held at Coulterville Park, also includes a parade down Main St., a car show, music, and a variety of craft, art, food and merchandise booths. On Saturday at 4:00pm there is a Mountain Derby Girls Triple Header. Six teams will compete at the High Country Sports Arena in three different roller derby match-ups.
There is more art, history, dancing, bake sales, an Elegant fundraiser and a motorcycle show listed on Saturday as well.
Sunday the 8th Annual Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue Playday will be held in Twain Harte “to entertain all well-mannered dogs.” For more information view the event listing here.
