Sonora, CA – The promoters of Sonora’s Stage 4 of the Amgen Tour of California, and Sonora Regional Medical Center will host a Gran Gala at the Sonora Opera Hall this Sunday.
Gail Witzlsteiner, Sonora Amgen supporter and SRMC Director of Development is organizing the dinner and auction. The event centers around a dinner put on by the hospital culinary department with a main course of Beef Tenderloin Medallions with Bordelaise Sauce. The dessert is a chocolate velvet cake with strawberries.
Silent auction items include several works of art, including prints signed by six time Ironman Champion Dave Scott. Tickets are $100 detailed contact information is located here.
Other events leading up to the Sonora Amgen include a Mayor’s Reception on May 12th at 5:30pm and on May 16th, a VIP Train Event at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. The train event is at 8:00am, guests will be served breakfast prepared by Seven Sisters and be able to watch the bicyclers race by on their way to the end of the 4th Stage in Clovis.

The Amgen Tour of California race begins on Sunday May 13th in Santa Rosa at 10:50am. The fourth day of the race begins in Sonora at 10:35am. The race ends mid-day on Sunday May 20th in Los Angeles.
