Traffic Delays in Tuolumne County
Sonora, CA – It will be stop and go traffic on two stretches of Parrott’s Ferry Road on Thursday in Tuolumne County. Crews will be directional drilling on Parrott’s Ferry Road between Columbia Street and North Airport Road in Columbia. Motorists can expect delays of 5-10 minutes and travel will be slow moving in that area. Click here for a map of the work area.
On another section of Parrotts Ferry Road between Hwy 49 and Sawmill Flat Road crews will be rock saw trenching. Motorists can expect 15 to 20 minute delays in this area. Click here for a map of the road work area.
The work is part of the Central Valley Independent Next (CVIN) Broadband infrastructure installation. The 18-county CVIN project was funded by the federal stimulus package in 2009. It is designed to increase the broadband infrastructure of the region.
