Sonora, CA — A stretch of Peaceful Oaks Road will be closed Thursday afternoon. Caltrans reports that Peaceful Oaks Road will be shut down at Highway 108 for blasting away rocks. The closure is scheduled from 4-5pm Thursday, June 6th.
Caltrans reports motorists can expect 10 minute delays. They are asking motorists to choose an alternative route whenever possible.
This work is part of the $52.9 million Highway 108 East Sonora Bypass Stage II Project that started on April 19, 2012. Crews will construct a two lane expressway from Peaceful Oak Road to Via Este Road. A partial interchange at Peaceful Oak Road, a grade separation at Mono Way and a temporary “T” intersection connecting Mono Way to the new expressway will also be built.
