Calaveras Supervisors Meet Tuesday

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — Discussion about grant funding, and a law enforcement agreement with Angels Camp, will be up for debate at this week’s Calaveras Supervisors meeting.

The Supervisors will vote whether to approve a $392K contract paid by the City of Angels Camp for police dispatch services. It would be provided through the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department. The contract would cover three years.

The Board will vote whether to refund $10K to the Sierra Nevada Conservancy for previously allocated grant funding. The money was designed to integrate habitat and open space protections into the Calaveras County General Plan.

The County will vote to accept a $3,375 payment from the 39th Agricultural District for law enforcement services provided during this year’s Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee.

In addition, the Board will vote whether to adjust the Probation Department’s budget at a cost of $46K to purchase two passenger vehicles. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9am at the Government Center in San Andreas.
