Chris Young, Snoop Dogg Join Black Oak Concert Series At Westside Pavilion

Tuolumne, CA — On April Fool’s Day, Black Oak Casino Resort officials assured their latest announcement naming Fourth of July weekend concert headliners was no joke.

On Monday, officials announced that country crooner Chris Young and rapper-singer Snoop Dogg and Friends, which include the Isley Brothers, will be respectively taking the stage Friday July 5 and Saturday July 6 as part of the Black Oak Concert Series at Westside Pavilion. Tickets for both shows officially go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.

Young, who hails from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, first captured public attention in 2006 when he appeared on the Nashville Star TV show and has since released seven albums. Among his hits are “The Man I Want To Be,” “Tomorrow,” “I Can Take It From There,” “Aw, Naw, ” “Who I Am With You,” “Lonely Eyes,” “I’m Comin’ Over,” Think Of You” (with Cassadee Pope), “Sober Saturday Night” (with Vince Gill), “Losing Sleep,” and “Raised On Country.”

Dogg, celebrating 25 years of his 1993 debut album Doggystyle this year, is also bringing along Warren G and Kurupt. Discovered by Dr. Dre in 1992, Dogg has sold over 23 million albums in the U.S. alone and has 17 Grammy nominations. Also known as a record producer, TV personality, entrepreneur, and actor, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last fall. His hits include “What’s My Name?” “Gin & Juice,” “Snoop’s Upside Ya Head.”

Other recently announced artists performing at Westside Pavilion include country singers Lee Brice and Brantley Gilbert, respectively performing June 21 and Aug. 16.

The previously named acts are as follows: Midland with special guest, May 25; Sublime with Rome, June 20; Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo and Melissa Etheridge, July 21; Bush & LIVE+ The ALTIMATE Tour, Aug. 9; and Peter Frampton, Oct. 6. For more details, click here.
