Fires Burn Across California
Crews are very busy battling wildfires scattered across the state.
CAL Fire reports that there are currently six major wildfires burning up and down California. Many areas of the state are experiencing gusty winds, combined with the low humidity. Here is a recap.
Springs Fire, Ventura County

* Evacuation orders in effect
* Approx. 4,000 homes remain threatened
* A CAL FIRE Incident Management Team has been assigned
Panther Fire, Tehama County
8 miles northwest of Butte Meadows
* 6,393 acres – 10% contained
* A CAL FIRE Incident Management Team has been assigned
Summit Fire, Riverside County
Mias Canyon and Bluff Rd in Banning
* 2,956 acres – 65% contained
* All evacuations have been lifted
306 Fire, Glenn County
2 miles south of Elk Creek
* 217 acres – 75% contained
* Full containment expected today
Cedar Fire, Butte County
South of Butte Meadows
* 55 acres – 70% contained
Yellow Fire, Sonoma County
Hwy 128 in Knights Valley, northwest of Calistoga
* 125 acres – 97% contained
* Full containment expected today
