Food Pantry Re-Opening

Sonora, CA — The Red Church held its reopening community luncheon today, March 19.

The St. James Anglican Church or “Red Church” in Sonora opens its food pantry Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30am to Noon and holds a Tuesday dinner at 5:30pm. Rocky Wolf is managing the effort and reports that in a given month they assist about 2,000 with food and other compassionate services and provide a weekly meal for a total of 500 a month. Volunteers and donations can be sent to Lighthouse Ministries PO Box 3720 Sonora.

The board of Lighthouse Ministries, which has representatives from seven local churches has come together to carry on the mission to “Break the cycle of Poverty” and offer compassion and hope to others. Previous efforts were managed by the late Father Wolfgang Krismanits and his wife LaDonn on behalf of the Lighthouse Ministries.
