Possible Delays For Motorists

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) construction and maintenance department will begin a sewer line repair project. TUD crews will be working on Forest Road in Sonora starting tomorrow, February 28. TUD estimates the work will be done on March 5th.

Motorists can expect five minute delays with flaggers directing traffic at the intersection of Forest Road and Stockton Street from 8am to 4pm. TUD asks that you drive with caution and obey the traffic control signs.

The Tuolumne Utilities District currently serves over 44,000 Tuolumne County residents. The District currently owns and operates 14 water treatment plants, 71 treated water storage tanks, two wastewater treatment plants, approximately 57 miles of open ditches, 157 miles of sewer collection pipe and 330 miles of treated water pipeline.
