Tuolumne County, CA — The Soda Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest, three miles east of Relief Reservoir in Soda Canyon, remains 10.3 acres.
There was no change in size over the past day. Stanislaus National Forest Fire Chief Dave Updike reports that crews are still engaged in containing the fire as the heavy fuels on the interior continue to burn. Ground resources are being shuttled by helicopter daily, and helicopters are continuing bucket drops to aid containment efforts.
The fire is in a very isolated region of the forest and no structures are considered threatened.
