Teen In Twain Harte Rollover Crash Arrested

Twain Harte, CA — The CHP arrested an unidentified 16-year-old Sonora boy who sustained minor injuries after getting into a crash on Joaquin Gully Road in the Twain Harte area.

Officer Faustino Pulido comments, “Due to his level of alcohol intoxication, he failed to negotiate the curve and lost control of the vehicle.  The pickup traveled off the west road edge and collided into a large Manzanita plant.  It continued down a steep embankment, colliding with several trees and underbrush before finally overturning.  The pickup came to rest on its left side, approximately 70 feet down the embankment.”

The driver was booked into the Mother Lode Regional Juvenile Detention Facility. There were also two passengers in the crash that occurred on Saturday evening. A 16-year-old boy from Jamestown suffered major injuries, and was taken to Adventist Health Sonora, and a 16-year-old boy from Sonora was not injured.
