Sonora, CA – Not his pickup truck, but the trailer he was pulling behind it landed a Jamestown man behind bars.

A Tuolumne Sheriff’s Deputy saw that the trailer had expired plates and made a traffic stop Tuesday just before 1:30 a.m. at the Mono Way off-ramp from Highway 108. Behind the wheel of the Toyota trucks was 39-year-old Todd Pankey. During a search of the pickup, the deputy found fourteen prescription pills of Carisoprodol, which are muscle relaxers, drug paraphernalia and evidence of narcotic sales.

Pankey was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, transporting a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set $20,000.
