Overnight House Fire In Calaveras County

Valley Springs, CA — Firefighters battled a house fire overnight in the Valley Springs area of Calaveras County. The flames broke out after midnight in a home on the 2800 block of Stagecoach Drive near the La Contenta Golf Club, off Highway 26. CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore details, “When firefighters arrived on scene the structure was fully engulfed and there was a risk to two additional structures but no spread to the vegetation.”
It is unclear if anyone was at the home when the fire ignited. It took crews about a half hour to knock down the flames. What sparked the blaze is under investigation.
