SPI Reopens Forestlands For Recreation

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — With the changing season, and fire risk reduced, Sierra Pacific Industries has reopened its forestlands for public access and recreation.

SPI’s privately owned lands were closed on June 28 due to wildfire concerns.

SPI allows the public to use most of the company’s California forestlands for hunting and other recreational activities. Smoking is prohibited, along with campfires, and overnight camping.

In addition, the use of motorized vehicles is restricted in many of the areas due to public safety concerns and resource protection.

SPI owns and manages 2.4 million acres of timberland across California, Washington, and Oregon.
