Update at 3:20 p.m.: The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office gives more details regarding what was found in a suspicious package found near its communications center this morning. Through the investigation, it was determined that a community member, who was not identified, discovered the items and brought them to the office for disposal.

Anyone who finds items believed to be old explosives or ordnances on their property should contact the sheriff’s office at 209-533-5815 and a deputy will respond to investigate.
