Early Morning Crash Results In Injuries, DUI Arrest

Arnold, CA – A late night drive on Spicer Reservoir Road above Big Meadow resulted in a DUI crash and arrest in the early hours today.
According to the CHP San Andreas Unit, just after 1 a.m. 21-year-old Nicholas Trujillo of Galt was headed northbound near Big Aspen Grove at about 40 miles-per-hour in a 2012 Honda CRV when he traveled into the right shoulder while attempting to negotiate a slight left curve and then struck a tree.
As he sustained moderate injuries in the wreck, Trujillo was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center where he was also arrested for suspicion of DUI. His passenger, 19-year-old Joshua Thomas, also of Galt, was reportedly not injured in the incident.
