Drug Bust At Downtown Sonora Home

Sonora, CA — Two people were arrested after officials confiscated drugs for sale inside a Sonora residence.

The Tuolumne Probation High Risk Supervision Team, and deputies with the Sheriff’s Office, carried out the bust at the home of 24-year-old Richard Meza on South Green Street. Officials located 25.9 grams of heroin and .45 grams of methamphetamine. Several people were inside the home, and Meza and one other were taken into custody. Meza was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on charges of possession of drugs for sale, criminal conspiracy and violation of probation. 33-year-old Jaclyn Neves was arrested for possession of drug use paraphernalia, attempting to hide/destroy evidence and criminal conspiracy.
