Traffic Delays Continue On Parrotts Ferry Road
Columbia, CA — 15-minute traffic delays continue this week in Columbia along Parrotts Ferry Road due to the Gold Springs Sewer Replacement Project.
Allow extra time when traveling between 7am – 4pm. T.U.D. hired Moyle Construction to oversee the $673,000 project. T.U.D. reports that work will continue through Thursday of this week, and then crews will be off on Friday in honor Veteran’s Day. Weather permitting, the project should be completed by the end of the month.
The current pipeline was approaching its capacity, and the larger main will be able to accomodate greater flows in the future and prevent sanitary sewer overflows. The project includes replacing and upgrading 5,510 linear ft. of sewer force main and 963 linear ft. of sewer gravity main along the east side of Parrotts Ferry Road, from North Gold Street to Marble Quarry Road.
