District Attorney And Sheriff Will Speak In Groveland

Groveland, CA — Tuolumne County’s District Attorney and Sheriff will speak at a town hall meeting in Groveland Tuesday evening.

The Groveland Area Partnership (GAP) is sponsoring the event which will feature a conversation with Sheriff Jim Mele and District Attorney Laura Krieg. The two will discuss statewide ballot measure Proposition 57 and its potential impact on public safety and law enforcement. In addition, they will speak about an increase in crime that has been noticeable since the implementation of Proposition 47 in 2014. The event will be held in the Tenaya Elementary School Gymnasium at 6pm. Doors will open for a casual meet and greet starting a 5pm. The event is open to the public.
