Three Injured In Highway 49 Crash

Sonora, CA — There was a major injury accident early yesterday morning in Tuolumne County on Highway 49 north of Springfield Road.

Just after midnight, 36 year old Donald W. O’Brien of San Andreas went off the highway and hit a sign. The 2007 Toyota then rolled over several times before coming to a stop on the west shoulder. O’Brien suffered reported major injuries and was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was later arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked into Tuolumne County Jail, according to the CHP.

32-year-old Rachel O’Brien of San Andreas sustained minor injuries and was taken to SRMC and a 13-year-old juvenile male suffered major injuries and was transported to SRMC.
