Calaveras Supervisors To Discuss Butte Fire And Chamber Lease
San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will vote on ratifying a lease agreement with the Chamber of Commerce for a new Business Resource Center.
It’s on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting. As a benefit to the public, the Supervisors will vote on leasing the county owned Huberty Building at 7 Main Street in San Andreas for $1 per month, and the agreement will span two years.
The building would be available for business classes and workshops related to Butte Fire recovery, office space for small start-up businesses and allow access to office equipment. There are also plans for a mini innovation lab, similar to what is offered in Tuolumne County at the former Tuolumne General Hospital.
Also on Tuesday, the Supervisors will hear and update from department heads, CAL OES and FEMA about Butte Fire recovery efforts.
The meeting starts at 9am in the Board of Supervisors meeting room at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas.
