Eagle Ridge Senior Housing Project Approved By Supervisors
Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors approved revised plans for a senior housing development off Tuolumne Road.
In 2013 the Board approved plans for the Eagle Ridge Subdivision along Eagle Ridge Drive. It is approximately 460 ft. from Tuolumne Road. At the time the project called for 90 townhome units, and the revised plan only includes 67 units. The change was made so that many of the structures would be single level instead of two levels. The plan also calls for one assisted living facility to house 160 residential units. The earlier plan was for two facilities to house 80 units each. The revised proposal also eliminates a planned medical offices building. The project received the endorsement last month of the Tuolumne County Planning Commission.
Community Resources Agency Director Bev Shane noted that around 10 letters were submitted to the county voicing concerns about the project ranging from increased traffic to the amount of setback for the buildings. No one spoke in opposition at yesterday’s meeting. The project was approved unanimously by the Supervisors, 5-0.
