Twain Harte, CA — It looks like Twain Harte School District will shortly be welcoming a new school superintendent aboard ahead of this next school year.
Wednesday the school district board called a special closed session meeting for Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. According to district officials the reason is to finalize a contract for half-time superintendent services with Rick Hennes.
Hennes formerly worked for Curtis Creek Elementary and also served as a superintendent for River Delta Unified School District.
If the deal is completed, Hennes will replace Jeff Winfield, who provided superintendent services by serving halftime both for Twain Harte and Soulsbyville school districts. Twain Harte district officials state they would have continued the arrangement but it was not supported by the Soulsbyville district, who wanted Winfield full-time.
