Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA – Night and day, Caltrans crews are busy again along most of the Mother Lode highways with some of the work slated to start up before weekend’s end.

Some Calaveras Cone Zones Set Up Sunday

Beginning Sunday, overnight striping on Highways 26 and 12 is likely to bring ten-minute traffic interruptions. Sunday night through Tuesday morning on Highway 26, work is slated from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. between Quail Oaks Road and Gold Creek Drive. Tuesday night through Friday morning on Highway 26, crews will focus between Savage Way and Paloma Road. During these same times paving continues on Highway 12 between Cedar Street and Highway 49.

More overnight work starting up Sunday along Highway 4 between Foundry Lane and Anrey Court may cause minor delays all week. Crews will set up nightly at 9 and wind down by 7 a.m., with the last shift ending Friday morning.

Daytime ten-minute delays on Highway 26 will involve guardrail work Wednesday through Friday between Quail Oaks Road and Gold Creek Drive from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

On Highway 49, Monday through Thursday grinding and paving between Gun Club Road and Six Mile Creek is planned from 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., which may set motorists back a few minutes; as will utility work, which will continue each weekday in San Andreas between Mountain Ranch Road and Main Street from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Major Tuolumne County Delays Monday

In Tuolumne County, anticipate 15-minute delays Monday on Highway 49 while crews attend to bridge work between High School Road and Woods Way from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Every weekday along Highway 49, drainage work scheduled between Moccasin Creek and Bear Valley Road from 6:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. may bring momentary traffic impacts.

Too, beginning Sunday, the bridge work continues in the overnights along Highway 108 at Mono Way from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Friday morning, likely to generate ten-minute traffic interruptions.

Other Highway 108 cone zones this week will run from Tuesday through Friday. These will be located between Soulsbyville Road and Strawberry East as tree work continues there from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., likely to trigger ten-minute waits; between Sonora Snow Park’s first closure gate and Mill Creek road a crew doing drainage work might also cause brief setbacks from 8:15 a.m. until 2:45 p.m.

Highway 120 Traffic Alerts

As part of the major James E. Roberts Bridge renovation at Don Pedro, last week crews installed K-rail. This Thursday and Friday striping operations will be rolling out from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day, probably generating ten-minute traffic impacts.

More ten-minute delays are in store every weekday along Highway 120 between Old Priest Grade Road and the Yosemite National Park West Boundary entrance from 5:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. as crews tackle more tree work. Wednesday only, along Highway 120 at the South Fork Tuolumne Bridge, an inspection of the structure, slated from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. could slow motorists for a few minutes at a time.

On Highway 132, Monday through Wednesday paving work may tie up traffic for ten minutes from Bonds Flat Road to just west of Zarzamora Street between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
