Local Fire Training Drill Canceled Due To Fires In Southern California
Sponsored by:
Sonora, CA — We announced last week that CAL Fire would be conducting a live fire training drill today through Thursday at the Sardella Ranch in Tuolumne County.
However, CAL Fire says that due to high fire activity across the state, the planned burn has been cancelled. Several resources from Tuolumne and Calaveras counties have been assigned to help fight incidents scattered across Southern California. For example, the Border Fire in San Diego County is 7,500 acres and 5% contained, and the Fish and Reservoir fires in the Angeles National Forest are 3,000 and 2,400 acres, with no containment.
