Black Oak Celebrates Expanding Its “Great Indoors”

Sponsored by:

Tuolumne, CA — The Black Oak Casino Resort is turning 15 and to celebrate it is not only adding more space but expanding into the great outdoors.

Gamblers and revelers will get an additional 5,000 square feet of floor space, which includes a new gaming area along with a facelift and other amenities. Casino General Manager Aaron Moss shares, “We are going to move an update our Willow Creek Lounge. We are going to remodel our Manzanita and Willow Creek bars. With the added square footage, that is going to allow us to really open up the gaming floor a little bit more and kind of spread things out, give a little bit more elbow and walking room.”  Moss adds, “It’s time to replace the carpet and updating on some technology.” He is referring to upgrades to the sound and lighting equipment for the lounge that will move into the new addition.

In terms of the outdoor expansion, there will be events at the Westside property next to Summerville Union High School; one being the Strawberry Music Festival. The first phase of the resort’s RV park facility with over 100 spaces and full hook-ups will also be part of the add-ons. Moss notes, “We’re extremely excited about the expansion of Black Oak Casino Resort combined with the development of the RV Park, which is all part of our vision for the future for this great property.”

Construction of the additional space will begin this year with its interior and remodeling to be done  next year, according to Moss.
