Caltrans Road Work Begins This Weekend

San Andreas, CA – Caltrans crews have a busy workweek, beginning Sunday night, that will bring ten-minute motorist delays in multiple locations.

East and West Highway 12 from the Calaveras/San Joaquin County line to Highway 49, striping operations will run in the overnight hours Sunday night through Friday morning with cone zones in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. From Wednesday night through Friday morning, look for pavement repair workers from Cedar Street to Lime Creek Road.

Similarly, Caltrans plans striping work on East and West Highway 26 from Shelton Road to Highway 49/Mokelumne Hill Sunday night through Friday morning from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. with pavement repair Sunday night through Wednesday morning from East Highway 12 to Paloma Road.

On Highway 49, Across Nearly Three Counties

Several chores will be going on along Highway 49 between the Tuolumne/Calaveras County line and the Calaveras/Amador County line that may bring five to ten-minute traffic interruptions.

These include overnight striping operations Monday night through Friday morning from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., under a moving closure in the following locations: Pool Station Road to the Calaveras/Amador line; the Tuolumne/Calaveras line to Frogtown Road; and Copello Drive to Angels Road.

Weekdays on Highway 49, workers will be in place from Copello Drive to Angels Road from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday between the Tuolumne/Calaveras line and Frogtown Road from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday only on Highway 49, a moving closure will run from the Vista Point/New Melones Reservoir to Mountain Ranch Road during the hours between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Highway 4 Chores Plus A Parade Closure

Every weekday core drilling work along Highway 4 between east of Upper Moran Road and the Big Trees State Park entrance will likely setback traffic by ten minutes at a time from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. On Wednesday, maintenance under a moving closure between the Cherokee Creek West Bridge and Mitchler Avenue will run from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Due to the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee Youth Parade on Thursday, Caltrans will completely close Highway 49 from South Highway 4 to Murphys Grade Road in Angels Camp from 10 until 11:30 a.m.

Tuolumne County: Mono Way Bridge Work And More

On Highway 108, bridgework every weekday on Mono Way from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. may set motorists back ten minutes.

On Highway 120, Tuesday through Friday, maintenance under a moving closure will run from Red Hill Road to Ferndale Road during the hours between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., which may bring momentary delays.

Too, planned crack seal operations on Highway 132 each weekday and Saturday will focus between the Mariposa/Tuolumne County line and just west of Narcisco Road from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily.
