Update: Power Restored In Tuolumne, Still Out In Areas of Calaveras County

Update at 6:15 p.m.: In Calaveras County, PG&E has restored power to all but 74 of the initial 285 customers without electricity in the Vallecito area. Another 41 remain without lights east of Angels Camp. The company estimates the repair time for both between 9 and 10 p.m. . Downed power lines are to blame for the outages.

Update at 5:20 p.m.: PG&E has pushed back the repair time for the nearly 320 customers without power in Calaveras County.   PG&E reports a downed power line is also to blame for 285 customers without lights in the Vallecito area along Parrotts Ferry Road. The repair time has been extended nearly 4 hours to 10 p.m.  The 41 customers remaining without electricity east of Angels Camp along Red Hill Road and a section of Highway 4 will now have to wait until 9 p.m., which is another three hours from the estimated time given when crews found a downed power line.

Update at 5:05 p.m.: PG&E reports the lights are back on for some 152 customers in Tuolumne City along Buchanan Road to Mira Monte Road that have been without lights since just before 1 p.m. Crews found damaged equipment on a power pole. Crews continue to work to repair downed power lines that have left more than 320 customers without electricity in Calaveras County. Please see details below.

Update at 4:30 p.m.: PG&E crews have been able to bring the lights back on for all but 41 of the 146 customers east of Angels Camp along Red Hill Road and a section of Highway 4 without electricity. Crews found a downed power line and are working to fix the line with a repair time of 5:45p.m.  PG&E reports a downed power line is also to blame for 285 customers without lights in the Vallecito area along Parrotts Ferry Road. The estimated time of repair is 6:15 p.m., according to company officials.

In Tuolumne County, 152 customers in Tuolumne City along Buchanan Road to Mira Monte Road have been without lights since just before 1 p.m. Crews found damaged equipment on a power pole. The company estimates the repair time to be within the hour.

Original post at 3: 45 p.m.: The heavy rain may be to blame for leaving nearly 600 PG&E customers in the Mother Lode without power.

Currently, 152 customers in Tuolumne along Buchanan Road to Mira Monte Road have been without lights since just before 1 p.m. Crews found damaged equipment on a power pole. The company estimates the repair time to be around 4:30 p.m.

In Calaveras County, there are two outages that began just after 2 p.m. affecting over 430 customers. In the Vallecito area along Parrotts Ferry Road, 285 customers have no power. Crews are still trying to determine a cause. The estimated time of repair is 6:15 p.m., according to company officials.

A downed power line has left 146 customers east of Angels Camp along Highway 4 to Red Hill Road without electricity. Crews are working to fix the line with a repair time of 5:45p.m.
