The flashing light is causing major traffic delays in both directions. Heading into Sonora, traffic is backed up all the way to the Peppery Restaurant. Motorists in the area may want to find an alternative route. The CHP advises motorists to enter the bypass at either the  South Washington Street or Hess Ave locations.
