Update: Slick Roads To Start The Workweek
Update at 7:57am: Traffic is moving smoothly on Highway 108 near Wilms Road following the crash earlier this morning. There are some new traffic hazards, however. The CHP reports that a tree is blocking both lanes of Marquis Drive, near Twain Harte Drive. There are also some power lines down there, so you will want to avoid the area. In addition, there is a semi truck that is partially blocking East Avenue near North Tuolumne Road.
Original story posted at 6:38am: There are some school delays today due to slick roads in the Mother Lode.
To find the latest updated list, click here. The CHP reports that there have been several vehicle accidents early this morning. One of the most notable is a two vehicle crash on Highway 108 near Wilms Road just west of Knights Ferry. An air ambulance was dispatched and it is impacting traffic. A vehicle has also driven off Crystal Falls Road near Bear River Drive, and crashed. On Parrotts Ferry Road, near Porcina Way, there are some rocks and the roadway, so the county roads department has been notified. On Highway 4, near Fricot City Road in Calaveras County, there is a crash that is requiring an ambulance. Caltrans has been requested to come and put sand in that particular area. Allow yourself extra time when traveling this morning.
