Mid November Weekend Events

The seasonal events continue with Gold Rush Charter School Family Fun Night tomorrow, Friday November 20. The annual festival with a bounce house, crafts, food, silent auction and more is offered with free admission and tickets for food items and activities. Details are here.

Murphys Diggins Craft Faire is Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Murphys Diggins Mobile Home Park.

The Summerville Multi-Class Reunion for all alumni and their families will also be held Saturday at Black Oak Casino. Details about how to make reservations are in the event listing here.

The first ever youth Tuolumne County ‘Just Ace It’ Tennis Tournament Series Championships are also Saturday, November 21st. Over 80 young players ages 8 to 18, will compete. Winners will be awarded a brand new performance tennis racket.
Tournament director Dr. Ron Jacobs points out there have not been any youth tennis tournaments east of Manteca or Modesto and he is very excited with the large turnout of players coming not only from Tuolumne county, but also Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties. Jacobs has announced this will be a regular biannual event, one in the Spring and in the Fall.

After that enjoy the Stars Over New Melones this Saturday evening. Telescopes for visitors to view the moon and all the stars will be set up in the New Melones Lake Visitor Center parking lot. Dress warmly and bring a flashlight, but if it is overcast, view a PowerPoint presentation about the night sky inside.

On Sunday at the Calaveras Fairgrounds the Grace Beyond the Ashes Concert will begin at 12:30 pm. Singers, songwriters, and Well known Christian Musicians Paul and Noreen Coca, will be a couple of many featured entertainers.
