Cal Fire Debris Burn Hours To Change

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — Cal Fire has lifted all burn hour restrictions for the Mother Lode.

Starting Saturday, November 14, at 8 a.m. burn hours will no longer be limited to overnight hours. As reported last Friday, Cal Fire lifted its burn ban allowing burning only between 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.  Cal Fire spokesperson Lisa Williams shares that the weather patterns has become more in our favor and notes, “With increased wet weather, it has helped to keep things saturated throughout the day and made it safer to burn…So, with a permit you can now burn anytime on a permissive burn day.”

Residents can get a permit at local designated fire stations. It is residents responsibility to check if it is a permissive burn day, which can be done by calling their local Pollution Control Board or go to mymotherlode.com. Both Tuolumne and Calaveras County burn information can be found on the daily updated homepage.
