Cause Of Fire Near Chinese Camp Determined

Chinese Camp, CA — CAL Fire has determined the cause of a vegetation fire that ignited yesterday near Chinese Camp.

A 51-acre fire ignited in the area of J-59, at around 10:30am. Fire investigators determined that it was caused by an individual using welding equipment. The estimated dollar damage was $10,200. No homes or structures were damaged. Air and ground resources worked to extinguish the blaze.
