T.U.D. To Discuss Conservation And Public Engagement

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The T.U.D. Board of Directors will decide whether to make any adjustments to the mandatory 30% conservation requirements.

Interim General Manager Dave Andres is recommending that the district continue with the 30% mandate. The state is requiring that the district reduce water use by at least 24%, and based on current projections, the district anticipates meeting the target over the coming months, but it will be close.

The Board will also discuss the results of the recent public engagement project where the district held community meetings related to long term water solutions.

The District will also provide direction to staff about ranking projects in the draft capital improvement plan. Today’s meeting starts at 5:30pm in the T.U.D. meeting room. You can watch live video in the multimedia section of myMotherLode.com.
